Nanoé operates in northern Madagascar through 6 agencies and 3 branches in the Diana, Sofia and Sava regions. Our expansion is gradual and adapts to the needs of local communities, with an approach that prioritizes service quality and sustainable social impact.

Nanogrids power a few households autonomously. When interconnected, they form a meshed network capable of powering more uses and economic activities. This modular approach enables gradual growth and better resilience of the electricity system in rural areas.

Nano-entrepreneurs are local entrepreneurs trained by Nanoé to install, operate and maintain the networks in their own villages. They are the heart of our model: they know their community, build trust and ensure the sustainability of the installations while generating their own economic activity.

The Nanoé model is designed to be replicable in other rural contexts. The team can support electrification projects inspired by the model developed in Madagascar, by sharing its technical expertise, field experience and management tools. We believe our approach can benefit other regions of the world with similar needs.
